Preparing For Your Flight FAQs
When Should I Arrive at the Heliport?
- For all flights, you need to arrive 30 minutes before the planned departure to check-in and receive a safety briefing. Boarding passes are rendered void for late arrivals.
What Should I Wear/Bring on the Day of the Flight?
On the day of the flight, you will need to bring the following materials:
- Your original boarding pass (booking confirmation)
- A form of photographic ID and proof of address (i.e. driver’s license, passport, utility bill)
- Also we recommend wearing comfortable clothing. Handbags, hats and umbrellas, or any other loose articles, will not be allowed on the flight.
Can High Flying Helicopter Refuse Boarding?
- We at High Flying Helicopter reverse the right to refuse any individual from boarding. This is a very rare occurrence, and we make decisions based on only the highest flight and safety standards. Some reasons for refusing boarding can include:
- Arriving late to the terminal
- Failure to provide suitable photo ID
- Inebriation (being drunk and/or under the influence of drugs)
- Threatening or portraying abusive behaviour to High Flying staff, operators staff and pilots, or other guests
- Any behaviour that compromises the safety of others on board.
What Weather Conditions Can Affect My Flight?
- Flights are highly dependent on favourable weather conditions, not only for your viewing pleasure but also for reasons such as aircraft and passenger safety as well as comfort. For every flight, the pilot will make a decision based on the morning’s aviation forecast. The weather doesn’t always follow the forecast, and as such, the pilot always makes the final decision.
Concerns for Health and/or Disability?
- There are a few health restrictions that might prevent an individual from flying. Although not guaranteed, conditions such as mobility restrictions, epilepsy, heart conditions and pregnancy may prevent you from flying. We advise individuals with health conditions to seek advice from their doctor to make sure they’re fine to fly.
- We are able to reasonably accommodate individuals with most disabilities, but make sure to let us know about your needs beforehand.
Are There Weight and Age Restrictions?
- Like all aircraft, there are certain weight restrictions that we must comply with, which includes both individual passenger weight as well as combined weight. In general, our individual passenger limit is 115 kg; if you are above this weight, you may need to purchase a second seat in shared flights.
- Children under the age of six are not permitted to fly, and adults must accompany children under 16 years of age.
- To further discuss these restrictions, contact us at 0207 099 6643
Is There Insurance for the Flight?
- The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. There is no insurance, however, for missing the flight or for cancellations.
